Six Pack Abs: Three Things You MUST Understand if You Ever Want to Lose Your Belly Fat and Get Six Pack Abs...

I'm just an average guy who enjoys working out and looking as good as I can, in and away from the gym. My friends I work out with (men and ladies too) are always talking about struggling with that nasty flab around their stomach that just doesn't want to go away no matter what they do. It's tough.

A few months ago I ran into a guy named Mike Geary, who is best known for his work with TruthAboutAbs.com. Mike is a fitness pro who has made a name for himself by uncovering the most effective strategies for losing stomach fat and ugly flab so your flat six pack abs can finally show up.. Interesting stuff!

I know, lots of fitness gurus have written books and designed training programs to help people get flat abs. Most of them focus on one aspect of losing fat and developing six pack abs, such as dieting or rigorous ab core workouts. Mike's work is different because it puts all the aspects necessary to lose that nasty belly fat into one simple and easy to follow system.

Here Are The Major Benefits Of The Truth About Abs Program:

Ultimate flat abs exercises Secret fat burning foods
Leaner, sexier body workouts What exercises DON'T work
Avoid ineffective cardio routines abs routine No more crunches and situps

"I got sick when I looked in the mirror..."
My belly stuck out so far, no wonder the guys weren't giving me a second look.

I was trying to lose it, but Truth About Abs showed me I was doing everything wrong.  I couldn't believe what I achieved in two months following this program...very highly recommended.

You see, hours and hours of working out hard, doing dozens or even hundreds of crunches, situps, and other "abs fitness" routines is mostly ineffective., there are certain exercises that are much better for stimulating your metabolism and increasing the level of fat burning compounds and hormones in your body.

And, low-carb, low-fat, and other trendy fad diets are in most cases actually working against you. They are not the answer....

You Won't Get Six Pack Abs This Way...

Most people are probably going to be surprised when they hear this. In their quest for 'six pack abs', the biggest mistake I see people making is wasting WAY too much of their time training their abs directly... pumping away with all kinds of different abs-specific exercises.

I'm sure you know what I'm referring to. The person is trying so hard to get those abs to show, that they're spending almost all of their time in the gym with hundreds of reps of various crunches, leg raises, twisting exercises, etc. Meanwhile, all of that wasted time directly training the abs could have been better spent on a properly designed full body workout program that would elicit a much better metabolic response and increase the fat-burning hormone levels in their body as well.

Mike Geary

After all, losing the stomach fat that is covering the abs is the MOST important aspect for most people to finally be able to make their abs visible. Unfortunately, pumping away with hundreds of crunches and leg raises does NOT cause much of a metabolic or fat burning hormonal response.

This is the main focus of my Truth about Six Pack Abs book... full body training programs and proper nutrition to strip off that stubborn belly fat and reveal the six pack that's hiding underneath!

Of course it wouldn't be an abs book if I didn't focus on ab development too, but I make sure firstly that the most important concepts for lasting body fat reduction are understood.

Strength Training - Don't Miss the Big Picture...

There is one type of question we all the time that shows that many people are missing the big picture regarding the benefits of strength training.

This popular question usually goes something like this: "What exercise can I do to isolate my _______ (insert your muscle of choice – abs, quads, biceps, triceps, etc)?

It doesn't matter which muscle someone is asking about, they always seem to be asking how to 'isolate' it.

First, understand that the body does not work well in muscle isolation. Rather, it works better in movements along a kinetic chain. That is, large portions of the body assist other portions of the body in completing a complex movement. In fact, there really is no such thing as true muscle isolation. There is almost always a nearby muscle group that will assist in some way with whatever movement you are doing.

When you attempt to 'isolate' muscles by performing single-joint exercises, you are actually creating a body that is non-functional and will be more prone to injury. Essentially, you are creating a body that is a compilation of body parts, instead of a powerful, functional unit that works together.

Now if you really want to end up hobbling around in a body bandaged up with joint problems, tendonitis, and excess body fat, then by all means, continue trying to 'isolate' body parts. On the other hand, if you would rather have a lean, muscular, injury-free, functional body that works as a complete powerful unit to perform complex movements (in athletics or even everyday tasks), then you need to shift your focus away from muscle isolation.

Focusing on how well your body functions will give you the side effect of a body that looks even better than it would have if you focused on muscle isolation. For example, take a look at the physiques of any NFL running backs, wide receivers, or even world class sprinters. Trust me when I say that these guys pretty much NEVER train for muscle isolation (their strength coaches wouldn't be crazy enough to let them), yet they are absolutely ripped to shreds! Just look at guys like Terrell Owens and tell me who wouldn't want a physique like those guys.

Now although I do feel that multi-joint exercises should comprise the majority of your weight training workouts, I also think that there can be some benefits with just minor inclusions of single-joint exercises for variety, etc. I choose to build my training programs with about 90-95% multi-joint exercises and about 5-10% single-joint exercises at most.
