Meal Prepping For The Kids

Today is meal prep day, and that means you’re getting a recipe, AND tips on how to meal prep for your whole family!! Because I don’t know about you, but I want my kids to be eating healthy too. Like, I feel way bad if I’m like eating super healthy, but my kids are having hot dogs or mac and cheese. RIGHT?!

KID MEAL PREP!! **HUSBAND APPROVED**

1. RICE BALLS

Sushi Rice
Salt
White Wine Vinegar
Mix together

Scoop 1/4 cup of your rice, put onto your 10 ft of Seran wrap, (jk, don’t use that much haha), and roll it into a ball. There you have RICE BALLS! Super quick, easy to grab, my kids and husband love them.

2. Tupperware meals for kids!

FIRST, remember your macros! Protein, fats, carbs. In this video, you’ll see I put 1/2 a pita bread, ham, chicken nuggets, blueberries, pickles, and fruit snacks:) for my kids.

I cut most of the food up into shapes (mostly just triangles, haha) and the blueberries are already round, so we have some variety in shape and color! Because kids eat with their eyes before they eat with their tummies. We all do!!

Now, you can totally mix your own tupperwares up, depending on food allergies, and even just preferences. But be sure you’re sticking to your macros, sticking to color, shape, and even texture. And what’s really important: DON’T OVER THINK IT!

Meal prep should actually be pretty simple, and there are tons of options out there. Just pay attention to what your kids like and go from there:) Same for husbands!!

    How much Rice vinegar should be used?

      It will depend on how much rice you’re making! As a guide though, for every 3 cups of uncooked rice, you’ll use 1/2 cup of rice vinegar! Hope this helps!
