Chiseled Ab Circuit Workout


Ab circuit Try 3 sets of 39 seconds of each exercise ????

Abs are a problem area for many of us, especially if we’re post-partum or experiencing hormonal fluctuations. Fortunately, flat, chiseled abs (the ultimate sign of a fit body) are well within reach. If you want firmer, flatter abs, this quick circuit workout is the answer! All you need is a mat and soft medicine ball to get a fat-blasting, ab-chiseling workout in less than 10 minutes. Let’s get started!

Exercise 1: Boat Crunches with Soft Medicine Ball

  • Sit on a mat or soft surface
  • Place a soft, weighted ball between your feet
  • Lift your feet off the mat (think of creating a “v” with the body)
  • Engage the abdominals and lean backward, simultaneously extending your legs forward and your arms to the sides for balance (keep your chin off the chest)
  • Bring the legs and the chest inward, returning to the starting position
  • Repeat

Exercise 2: Alternating Bent Leg Cross-Body Crunch/Straight Leg Full Reach

  • Lie supine on a mat
  • Place one hand behind your head and extend the opposite leg
  • Bring your elbow across the chest to meet the opposite knee (keep the chin off the chest; avoid pulling your neck)
  • Immediately extend your leg and arm
  • Reach the extended arm towards the straight leg (chin off the chest)
  • Repeat sequence (cross-body crunch into straight-leg reach) for 39 seconds
  • Repeat on the opposite side

Exercise 3: Up/Down Plank on Soft Medicine Ball

  • Begin in a straight-arm plank position with hands on a soft medicine ball (hands directly beneath the shoulders; body in a straight line; head in a neutral position)
  • Bend one elbow, then the other, coming down to a bent-arm plank on the ball
  • Extend one arm, then the other, returning to a straight-arm plank

Perform each exercise for a 39 seconds

Repeat 3x
