Overnight Oats FTW!

Oh HEY THERE Flat Abs Fam!

How are you fabulous athletes doing today? Good or not, your day is about to get SO MUCH better! Because I’ve got another recipe for you! Oh yeah, overnight oats! And 4 different ways to prepare them.

INGREDIENTS:

1 ripe banana
1/2 cup quick cooking oats (you may use regular oats, but the cooking time will be a little longer)
1/2 cup milk of your choice (I typically use almond milk)
3/4 cup liquid egg whites (I use egg whites from a carton to make them easy to measure and pour)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS:

Peel and mash banana.
Stir banana and remaining ingredients together in a medium-size bowl, with room at the top so the oats can “grow” in the microwave without overflowing.
Microwave on high for three minutes, stirring after 75 seconds and then again every 30 to 45 seconds until three minutes are up.
Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy (my personal favorites are peanut butter, chopped almonds, fresh berries and pumpkin pie spice).

Variations:

Peaches and Cream: Add 1/4-1/2 cup of diced peaches and a spoonful of coconut cream (or replace the almond milk with whole milk
Chocolate Coconut: Add 1/4 cup unsweetened dried coconut and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
Strawberry Cheesecake: Add 1/4- 1/2 cup diced strawberries and 2 tablespoons of cream cheese

These recipes sound amazing. I can not wait to try them. On a side note, where can I find those bowls? I love the size and colors. 🙂

Would the recipes in the video be good if heated up in the morning once they have set in the fridge overnight? I’m not sure how I would like cold oatmeal. lol

We’ve actually never tried them heated up. They’re delicious cold, but it wouldn’t hurt to try them warm! Give it a try and let us know what you think!
